Conversion of a retail shop in to a café. The project involved structural as well as cosmetic works to the existing building shell, so in collaboration with the clients, various issues and design options were explored and developed.

Taking advantage of the original buildings construction, materials use was kept simple with unusual elements such as used petrol (gas) station signage incorporated as a dynamic graphic element which also acts to unify the two main spaces within the building..
